Cruroplasty - Thigh lift Thigh and buttock lift surgery
Surgical Indication:
Performed when a patient has excess skin rather than excess fat in the thighs, hips and buttocks. Mostly typical of women, cannot be reduced with the help of physical training, massage, etc. Apart from all other disadvantages, causes great discomfort because thighs constantly rub against each other.
This surgery is designed to improve skin texture and underlying tissue that has become loose and flabby, whether due to weight loss or aging.
There are two main types of this kind of plasty which leave two different scars. The first type leaves a linear scar going from the inguinal fold down under the buttock (2-4cm). The surgery begins with an incision in the groin area, near the hip. After the incision is made, your surgeon separates the skin on your thigh from the fat and muscle below by pulling the flap of skin upwards. Then, the surgeon removes the excess skin and stretches the remaining skin back in place. The second type leaves an obtuse angle scar which is situated in the pubis, and thus can easily be covered by the underwear, swimsuit or even pubic hair.
Liposuction is also performed together with cruroplasty. When the procedure is complete, your surgeon closes the incisions with small stitches and covers them with bandages.
After the operation:
Since the surgery involves liposuction, one should wear snug compression garment during the postoperative period which is individual (in general - about 2 weeks).
Rehabilitation period:
7-10 days. Physical activity can be restored in 2 weeks. Aftercare can be performed either in the clinic or outpatiently. In the second case the patient has to spend one day in the clinic, and then undergoes 1 or 2 bandaging.
! The changes in the contour of thighs is largely age-related. An alternative to the sruroplasty is liposuction, but it may turn out to not be enough because the soft tissues may still sag after it.
Endoscopically assisted Abdominoplasty
The method of endoscopically assisted Abdominoplasty (Endoscopic abdominoplasty) is arefinement of classical abdominoplasty, particularly effective for the reconstruction of the abdominal wall. This version allows the tightening of the abdominal muscles up to the higher abdominal region in combination with the mini-abdominoplasty, thus making the surgery minimally invasive. The method is particularly suitable for younger patients with enough elastic skin, as well as for patients where the problem is the relaxation of the abdominal muscle tissue (and little loose skin and extra fat.) The endoscope-assisted abdominoplasty leads to very effective, aesthetically excellent results, avoiding unnecessary scars by using a very small incision.
